When I decided to devote a corner of my website to one of my favorite pastimes, enjoying afternoon tea, I had no idea these pages would turn out to be so wildly popular.
Chances are good that you came here from a search engine or from somewhere other than my home page. That's great--I'm glad you're here. But just so we're all on the same page, so to speak....
I'm a romance novelist. If you're interested in good, clean love stories that promote family values and celebrate the Christian faith, please consider visiting my home page: Brenda Coulter, Inspirational Romance Novelist. There's lots to see, including a garden page with several photographs of my roses. I hope you'll take a look. But even if you just stopped by for tea, I'm delighted that you're here.
I love to hear from my website visitors, and I answer all e-mail personally. Contacting me will put you on my mailing list, but don't panic--you can always opt out, and I'll never share your e-mail address with anyone.
These pages are updated frequently, so I hope you'll bookmark this site and come back often. Be sure to drop me a note and tell me what else you'd like to see here!

I just couldn't have been more surprised or delighted
when I learned they'd put a teapot on my cover!
Isn't it beautiful?
What does tea have to do with romance novels?
Well, my goodness, everything!
My blue-and-white teapot is as necessary to my writing as my laptop computer. Nothing is as conducive to daydreaming as lifting an English bone china cup and inhaling the comforting fragrance of Earl Grey tea. And I just can't imagine snuggling into my favorite corner of the living room sofa to read a good book without a cup of tea on the table beside me!
I've been drinking hot tea all my life, but it was some fifteen years ago that I discovered the stressbusting properties of a good cup of tea. Now I make a pot every day, even if it's just for me. It makes a wonderful break, whether enjoyed late in the morning or somewhere between lunch and dinner. And if I add a couple of fancy cookies or some toast triangles spread with orange marmalade, I can make a bad day good or a good day even better.
I collect English bone china teacups and saucers, and I'm not afraid to use them. (That's my china you'll see in the photos on these pages. If you want to know the maker or pattern of any piece, just e-mail me.) Once a year, usually at Christmas, I toss a Battenberg lace tablecloth over my dining room table and invite eight or ten women friends to a lavish afternoon tea party. I can't wait to tell you what I've learned and how much fun I've had giving tea parties over the years. And if you're planning a tea party of your own, I'd love share some serving tips and menu ideas
Take a look at the directory, above, and then pick a page to explore. I'm so glad you came for tea!
